ASFINAG - General Renewal A 23
The main works of the general renewal of the nearly three kilometer long section of Hochstraße St. Marx took about 3 years and were completed in November 2022 and February 2023.
The centerpiece of this never-opened interchange was a 550-ton bridge over the tangent. For this, ASFINAG used one of the largest crawler cranes in Europe and simply excavated the bridge in one piece, which we were able to capture with our cameras and drones. For these measures, the A 23 between the Gürtel and the Verteilerkreis was also completely closed to traffic for several hours for the first time.
